Our company is a prominent manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of flour milling equipment and provides turnkey solutions for processing various grains, including wheat, maize/corn, rice, cassava, and more. Over years of development we have assembled a dedicated professional team specialized in research & development, manufacturing, sales, installation, and comprehensive after-sales support.
To produce high-quality wheat flour while minimizing the investment and operating cost of a flour mill—whether for rice flour, maize/corn flour or other grain flours—modern flour mill projects use advanced milling machines and well-defined process workflows throughout production.

For anyone planning to start a flour milling business or set up a flour mill factory, a clear understanding of the production process is essential. That knowledge helps you choose the right equipment suppliers and makes it possible to improve milling efficiency.
Below is a concise introduction to the principal steps in a wheat flour mill. If you need detailed technical specifications for a flour mill plant, please contact us — we can provide additional information and support.
Wheat Flour Production Process
Impurities removal
At the initial stage the wheat is thoroughly cleaned and washed to remove foreign materials that could affect product quality or damage equipment — for example weed seeds, stones, dust, and other debris. After washing, the material commonly passes through an aspirator to extract lighter impurities that may have escaped earlier cleaning. (Related equipment: grain cleaning machines.)
Physical and chemical grading analysis
Samples of the cleaned wheat are taken for physical and chemical evaluation. Wheat is classified by protein content, and batches with higher protein are blended together to produce the top-grade (No. 1) flour.
Wheat flour milling process
Milling begins by passing the wheat through breaker rolls — large metal rollers that open the grain and separate the outer bran layer from the inner endosperm. The grinding stage produces three main fractions:
• Farina — the finest material
• Semolina — the coarser inner particles
• Particles attached to the bran
These fractions are sifted and subjected to repeated grinding and sifting cycles using the same principles until multiple flour grades are obtained.
Flour mill production plant
Every step in the milling flow is carried out to ensure the highest grade of flour. Trained personnel supervise each process and enforce strict hygiene and sanitary practices throughout the plant.
Standard working process in a flour mill plant
We supply complete, cost-effective flour mill production lines for various scales, and provide guidance on the milling process and how to start a flour business with limited capital in countries such as Tanzania, Egypt, Morocco, Ghana, South Korea, and others.
Setup flour mill production plant at low cost
Our full-scale flour mill solutions cover large projects for multiple raw materials. Typical production capacities include: wheat processing from about 80 to 500 tons per day, and maize/corn processing from about 20 to 100 tons per day. In addition to complete large-scale plants, we offer single machines and small-scale mill packages for micro and start-up operations. Contact us for a free quotation and a tailored business plan for your flour mill.
Setting up a flour mill to produce wheat, maize or rice flour is straightforward if you understand the essential steps and equipment. Many newcomers are unfamiliar with milling machines, especially for wheat flour; fortunately wheat milling equipment is generally easier to operate and maintain than some other grain milling systems.
Start a mini flour mill
When planning a small or mini wheat flour mill, several factors determine the right machine choice. The most important is the expected daily capacity — this dictates whether you need a compact unit or a larger continuous mill. Machine design is another key consideration: select equipment whose features and configuration match your production goals. Also evaluate the control and operating system to ensure the machines will run reliably under your working conditions.
If you still need help deciding how to build a complete flour mill or want an estimate for a mini mill investment, leave us a message describing your specific requirements and we will prepare a customized plant plan for you.
